END YEAR CAMPING SAFARIS

This year 2009, the Giraffe Centre held an annual environmental competition which took place between January to March and culminated to the annual prize giving day on the 5th June 2009.

The top 23 and 25 winners in Primary and High School category respectively will be sponsored to go for a one week camping safari to various National Parks and Game Reserves in Kenya. The aim of this safaris is to sensitize the youth on wildlife conservation and management.

The Primary School safari will start on 24th November to 28th November, 2009 while the High School safari will start on 1st December to 7th December 2009. The students will be picked at the main entrance of the Nairobi Railway Station at 8am. and will be dropped at the same point at 4.30 pm on the last day of the safari.
